How to make Peppermint Schnapps

Peppermint schnapps is fresh, mild and very delicate.

It can be enjoyed it on its own or served with lamb, fish, vegetables, soups, desserts, many types of cheese, and cheese cakes.

Peppermint schnapps can also be used in desserts, salad dressings, jellies, and barbecue sauces.



Directions:

* Rinse the peppermint leaves carefully.

* Leave them to dry in the shadow - on paper towel.

* Use a clean glass jar with tight-fitting lid.

* Fill 1/3 of the jar with leaves.

* Fill up with clear, unflavored vodka - 40% alcohol content (80 proof).

* Let steep for 4-14 days in a dark place at room temperature,
18-20°C (64-68°F).

* Shake lightly and taste it from time to time.

* Strain and filter your infusion into a clean glass bottle or jar with tight-fitting lid.

* Store (age) for at least 1 month in a dark place at room temperature before serving.
